Linda's life-long passion for photography and love for the outdoors launched her journey as a nature photographer over 15 years ago. The Southern Appalachians provided the initial inspiration, but she has also traveled around the world exploring amazing places such as the Pacific Northwest, Glacier, Denali, Canadian Rockies, Tuscany and the Swiss Alps. Her pursuit of adventure has included up close encounters with wildlife and flying over snow capped mountain peaks such as Mt McKinley and the Matterhorn, truly once in a lifetime experiences!
Linda is a member of The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, Appalachian Bear Rescue and Friends of the Blue RIdge Parkway. She is a former Co-Coordinator of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association Asheville Region and former member of the Roswell Photographic Society, North Georgia Photographic Society and various art councils. She studied with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography as well as several professional photographers. Her images have been sold at art festivals including Village Art & Craft Fair, Bele Chere, Wildflower Festival of the Arts, Colors Festival of Arts, Art in the Garden and Roswell Arts Festival. Exhibits include CNPA Pack Place Juried Exhibit, Roswell Photographic Society Juried Art Show, Visions of the North Georgia Photographic Society and Home for the Holidays Juried Art Show. Images have been featured on the cover of Blue Ridge Country Magazine, the cover of the North Carolina Rhododendron Festival Publication, Wildflower Festival of the Arts 2004 Commemorative Poster and Wildflower Festival of the Arts 2005 Commemorative T-Shirt. Images have also been published in Blue Ridge Country, The Laurel of Asheville, Asheville Citizens Times, The News Herald, North Georgia, Star, Photographer's Edge Magazine and Camera in the Wild.
